The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program is a U.S. immigration pathway to obtain a Green Card through investment, established in 1990 and administered by USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services). This program allows investors to apply for a U.S. Green Card for themselves and their family (including spouse and unmarried children under 21) by: 

  • Making a minimum investment of USD 800,000 in a qualified EB-5 project or enterprise, and

  • Ensuring that the investment project creates at least 10 full-time jobs for U.S. workers per investor. 

After 5 years, the entire family becomes eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Invest a minimum of USD 800,000 into a qualifying U.S. business and create or preserve at least 10 full-time permanent jobs for eligible U.S. workers.
  • The principal applicant must document the lawful source of funds used for the investment (e.g., business revenue with tax invoices, sale of real estate, bank loan, etc.).
  • The principal applicant must be over 18 years old. Spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 may be included in the same application.

Application Process

Steps to Obtain U.S. Permanent Residency through the EB-5 Visa

Consult with an immigration expert to assess eligibility and receive personalized investment guidance.

Submit Form I-526E and wait for USCIS approval. For individuals already residing in the U.S.: Submit Form I-485 to adjust your status to lawful permanent resident.

Receive the EB-5 visa and enter the U.S. to obtain a 2-year conditional Green Card.

File Form I-829 to remove conditions and apply for permanent resident status.

Become eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship after meeting investment success and physical presence requirements.
